Prologue

“Let me go!!!”

“No way in hell poppet!”

She found herself in a dingy and damp cell. She did a body check. A couple of broken ribs, and bruises but she was in pretty good condition. She tried to remember what had happened. She was in her bed and forehead was itching, but then it started to burn. She screamed then she blacked out. She woke up and they were there. With there slimy hand and gas masks. The took by the head and brought her to the tallest one.

“Hello poppet” he said with obvious delight. She spit in her face or on his hazard suit she couldn’t remember. He slapped her with such force that her face stung. Then it started to burn again.

“Another one hey boss?” the shortest one squealed.

“Patience Squilard” the apparent leader said.

“What do you want with me?” she screeched. They all laughed and dragged her to her tine blue bathroom. She was forced then to stare in to her old 21st century mirror. She fainted. They started to laugh and green slobber came out of their mouths. She remembered what she had seen her eyes had changed color from a dull brown to bright amber and there was a glowing neon triangle in the middle of her forehead. She touched her forehead. Sure enough there it was. A smooth triangle was there. She cried and someone in the distance ordered her to shut up but she still cried.

5 YEARS LATER

“I demand that I have a wife!” dictator Esquiale shouted. He had finally taken over Neo- Britannia which was 100 years ago, Britain. The shouting could be heard from all the way to the west tower, for he was in the east wing. His councilor ran in. The dictator’s face was as red as a tomato and his veins were popping out all over his scrunched and scarred face.

“P-Please calm down you dictatorshipness” he timidly said.

“I have told you to just call Teddy! Got it? TED-DY!!!” Esquiale or Teddy shouted at the councilor.

“Yes I know but you never call me by my name sir…”

“Well come on! Woollcott is a horrible name!” The dictator shouted.

“We digress. Teddy, if you want a wife, see if there are any scared young maidens down in the Tombs.” Woollcott muttered spitefully.

“Excellent idea! We will go down right now!” He rose to 6 feet and waddled to the door. A bewildered Woollcott followed him.

CHAPTER 1

“Ugh. Did I sleep on a rat or something last night???” She looked at the mess that was her cell. She was twenty give or take a few years and she had not showered in over five.

“Stand at attention maggots!” the warden yelled. She slowly stumbled to her feet. She looked down. She was wearing the official suit that covered her from neck to toe in a ugly green and shiny shark skin like material. On her torso labeled the number, 1023316*. She sighed. Nothing new, the same daily checks and prisoners screaming to get back outside where their apparent freedom had been. She had changed she guessed since they had first locked her up in there she was now almost wild and she acted almost like a feral cat to strangers or a wolf, she couldn’t decide. The warden came up to her cell. She growled.

“You have visitors today maggot.” His breath stank of beets and garlic. She spit in his face. He just grinned at her like he knew what was going to happen to her and somewhere in her body she felt fear.

In entered his disgustingness and that measly little mouse of a man that acted as his counselor. She prayed to an invisible god that he would go to the next cell, but he waddled right over to hers.

“Hello, my love” he croaked. She hissed at him with such contempt that he cringed.

“I am choosing you to be my wife.” he croaked. She spat at him.

“Ha-ha, we will be taking care of your nasty habits soon, Finkster, get me her…present.” he said almost menacingly. She cringed and scurried to the corner of her cell. In Finkster’s hand was a smooth and round disk. Her eyes widened. Finkster quickly passed to the dictator and he quickly opened the cage ran faster than anybody thought he could and made her swallow the disk.

Everything got blurry. I could hear myself screaming. Then everything turned a horrifying grey color. I tried to move, to speak, but could not. I was paralyzed but I could still see and hear. I heard the dictator, Finkster, and the rat like man talking about me. They mentioned words life procedure, chip and brain, but what the dictator said that made me truly afraid was,

"We need to her abilities a secret from her but use them to destroy the rest of the world'. After that everything went utterly black.

Thoughts...

Yesterday a young girl was sitting outside and reading her book. Overhead monarch butterflies soared and the girl smiled. That night she cried because she could not see the butterflies but only the inside of her mind. She wanted to be in the park with the butterflies. That night she dreamed of hospitals, butterflies, and the park. The next day the girl looked up and found herself in a park, surrounded by butterflies with the sky over head.

It's Here....Bwahaha!!

I'm back... for now...

Hello all my loyal readers this your anxious Karmic Goddess. 10th grade starts tomorrow and I am super nervous. I have planned everything! Now all I have to do is sit and wait until bedtime.
Life has been hard since the unexpected departure of my cousin Laurie. Certain things make me sad through daily life. For example, sitting here on the chair Laurie gave us before she got sick still smell like her. I think grief and sadness are the hardest obstacles to beat in any life. Wish me luck for tomorrow's smaller obstacle.

Bye-Ooday!

Zutopia- For Laurie

A while ago my cousin Laurie took me on my first real shopping spree. We only went to one store, Zutopia. She splurged on me like a true aunt which she has become. She has helped through life in her own unique way and for that I am thankful. Now seeing her fade away is one of the hardest things to watch. The strength and the spunkiness which I had come to love has dwindled. The rest of this entry is what I want to say to Laurie but am too emotional to say to her so I will write it instead.

To all my Readers,
Αντίο

This is to Laurie, how much time you have, let it be the best you've ever had before your snuffed out. Even though I can't be there for you without needing to step outside and cry, I am always by your side. It should not had happened to an amazing person person like you, but it did. I keep on saying to myself that it's not fair because truthfully it is not.I love you with all my heart. I hope that the remainder of your days be overflowing with happiness and love.

I Love You,
Mara

Reflection

I am sorry I haven't posted for so long my dear readers. The last few weeks have flied by with such speed that it is a wonder why I even remember them at all. Today we must offer a moment of silence for all of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, questioning, and transgender people and many other awesome people like them. Most have been harassed , prejudiced and even discriminated. Those people deserve a moment of silence.
As the world falls slowly we must not think about us but the other people around you. Look to the person next to you and think how are they feeling? What have they gone through inside of themselves. Most people have a hard time with this. I have been trying to do this and it is so freaking hard!!! Here is some writing enjoy!
Aloha

NIGHT

Night falls,
a darkened cloak,
no windows of freedom of which to escape to.

Wait until the glorious dawn,
with her golden tendrils of hair comes forth,
with new hope and light for another day.

With it another chance,

to do at least,

an ounce of good and learn,

for the more we know,

the more we can at least to ourselves,

figure out.

Balance

It was a cloudy day and also the kind of day where if you just leaned the wrong way you would fall off into what we call a very bad day. Robin had leaned to much the other way. Her back was hurting but she thought, no, hoped that if she just ignored it, and just might disappear. It was what her doctor had described as a curvature of the spine.

Robin knew what that meant all to well but to her it was an unwanted glitch like so much others she had. Her mother Rhonda had had it too. Her mother was kind and accepting so she tried not to blame her but it was hard. So that anger came out in other ways like insults and rude comments. Her mother hated it and Robin knew that but she just could not blame her for it. That was out of the question. So there she was walking home from school all the while thinking about her defective back.

When she got home Randy, her step dad who had been with them since she was three came up to her and announced,” Robin, today we are going to get new x-rays of your back”. No this was her worst fear. This meant that she would have to face it. I meant that it still was there and not gone like the way Robin always hoped it would be. It would mean that it had gotten there by her mom, her dear mom and she could not face that and what if her doctor found out? She didn’t want the magnetic brace screwed to her back!

She backed away saying, “No, not today not today, please not today!” while Randy puzzled saying, “It’s not the end of the world”. To her it was. But then she realized something, It was not her mothers fault and it was not the end of the world either. Something good would happen and she would balance out again. So she nodded at a very dazed step father and walked back out into a very cloudy day.
